My name is Daniel Sellers. I attend West Blocton High School in West Blocton, Alabama. I currently have a 3.94 GPA and an ACT score of 26. I hope to improve the ACT score before I graduate. I challenged myself with Advanced Placement U.S. History my junior year. I finished with an A in the class and passed the national exam with a score of 4 out of 5, which could exempt me from some college classes.
I would love to play college football because I love the game. I think the hard work and dedication it requires helps to build character, leadership, and the ability to work with a team. I believe I make a good candidate for a college team because I have a good work ethic and try to lead by example. I was named captain in all but one of my junior season games. I believe this shows the confidence my coaches have in me and the effort I put forth during practice. I have been a starter at Tight End for two season as well as Defensive End for one season. I was also named to the West Alabama All Star team my junior season by the Tuscaloosa News.
I was born with just a thumb and small finger on my left hand. My parents taught me from an early age not let my handicap stop me from doing the things I want to do. Despite this handicap, I am one of the leading receivers and tacklers on my team.
