When I started at Holy Redeemer High School in grade seven, I was the youngest in my class but also the tallest. In general, I found I didn't fit in anywhere and was often left out. I played a variety of school sports including basketball and volleyball but they weren't the right sports for me. It was suggested I try the football program.
I have only played football for three years, It instantly became a big part of me and who I am. The sport has shown me what it means to be part of a team. I am a driven and very coachable player with a unique ability to learn and adapt at a fast pace. This has resulted in me being in the starting lineup in my first year. The experiences over the last past three years has given me not only a team, but a second family that I am part of on and off the field. I loved the sport as soon as I started playing, which is one of the biggest reasons I want to take myself to the next level.
When I'm not in school or on the field during the summer season I like to go camping with my family and ride side-by-sides and quads. During the winter I like to go skidooing. I am fortunate enough to live rural and have access to the local trial system right outside our door. Outside of my recreational activities, I have a part time job that I've started in the spring of 2022 which has allowed me to purchase my first vehicle outright, four months before I am able to get my licence. This past winter, I started volunteering with the local hockey team as part of security at the rink.
