Hello, my name is Isaiah Huston. I am currently a freshman at Phoenix College in Phoenix, Arizona. My cumulative GPA is currently a 3.6 through the 2013 fall semester. I am currently 6'1" and weigh 180lbs. I started at flanker in all eight games this season and finished second on my junior college team with 36 receptions for 360 yards and 1 touchdown. I am a NCAA Qualifier and would be able to enroll at your university in January, 2014, making me available to compete in your spring practices. I was fortunate to have Frank Sanders, former N.F.L. receiver with the Arizona Cardinals, and the University of Auburn, as my receivers coach this season at Phoenix College. Coach Sanders worked with me on my route running and release off the line of scrimmage against press coverage. Coach Sanders believes that I have the necessary tools to compete at the D1 level. While in high school, I competed at the National Underclassman Combine, (NUC) at Scottsdale Community College in June, 2012. I received the Most Valuable Player Award amongst 350 players. My results were: 40yd dash = 4.52 shuttle run = 4.14 vertical leap = 36" broad jump = 10'1". I played both flanker and free safety/corner during the 7 on 7 drills. I received an invitation to participate at the NUC Ultimate 100 Combine in Los Angeles, California. During the 2012 football season I was a third year two-way starter. I was selected to the the Arizona All State Team as an Honorable Mention Athlete and All Purpose Player by both Scout.com and The Arizona Republic. I was selected 1st Team Division I All Section 3 as both a receiver and kick returner. I led my team in All-Purpose Yards and total touchdowns. During the 2011 football season I was a second year starter on the varsity team. I started both ways at flanker and free safety. I was selected to the Arizona All State Team as an Honorable Mention Kick Returner by Scout.com. I was selected 1st Team Division I All Section 3 as both a receiver and kick returner. I was selected 2nd Team Division I All Section 3 as a defensive back. I was both the team's kick-off returner as well as the punt returner. I also played QB when we went to the "Wild Jaguar" formation. I finished tied for 2nd in the state with 5 interceptions. I finished 10th in the state with a 30 yard kick-off return average. I lead my team with 40 receptions for 620 receiving yards. I lead my team with 11 combined touchdowns. I finished with 4 TD receptions, 2 TD runs, 1 TD pass, 2 TD interceptions, 1 TD kick-off return, and 1 TD off a blocked punt. During the 2010 season, I was one of four sophomores to play on the varsity team; however, I was the only one to start. I started from the first day of summer camp. I ended up achieving Honorable Mention All Northwest Region as a defensive back. I ended the season ranked 2nd in the Northwest Region and tied for 2nd in the state with seven interceptions while playing both safety and cornerback. I also returned kick-offs for the team. I finished 3rd in the region and 9th in the state with a 22.29 yds per return. I was the only sophomore to finish in the top ten in the state in both interceptions and kick-off return average. My school, Boulder Creek, competes at the Division I level in Section 3. In 2009, as a freshman on the frosh team, I played QB, safety, kick-off returner, and special teams holder. In a word, I'm an ATHLETE!!! I was selected as a weekly Captain of the varsity team twice during both the 2011 and the 2010 football seasons by my coaches for having displayed excellent leadership qualities both on and off the field. I lead my teammates in the pre-game prayer before every game. I lead by example. I work hard to be the best I can be on the field. I would like to play college football at the highest level possible. I've wanted to play college football since I was about eight years old. I think I might want to study business in college. I think I'm a very gifted and talented all around athlete. At Boulder Creek High School I played both point and shooting guard on both my freshman and JV basketball teams. I was also on the track team where I ran the 100M. In conclusion, I believe I will make some college coach PROUD for having recruited me to come to their school to play football and most importantly, to graduate with my degree.
