The first down of football I played when I was 10 years old was when I fell in love w this game. Ever since then I knew that I belonged to this game. I have played this game with a lot of passion and knew it could eventually open up a new door and give me a once in a lifetime opportunity to play college football and continue to improve my character on and off the football field.
The word Compete has always had a major impact on how I play the sport. I am always finding a way to improve my self each and everyday not only in the weight room and on the field but also in the classroom. School has always been the priority before football because without school there is no football. So being able to maintain high grade point averages and a GPA is always on my to do list and if I’m ever having trouble with the material I make sure I communicate with my teachers and see if I can schedule a time to help learn the material more clearly.
There is always room to improve physically. So when I’m either lifting weights or doing cardio I make sure to push myself out of my comfort zone and go the extra mile. I not only focus on making sure only I become mentally and physically stronger but my teammates as well. To me being a leader is not only using your words but by leading by example wherever you are or whatever you are doing, even when no one is watching . By doing this I not only gain respect by my teammates but by my coaches as well. Listening to my coaches has always been compared to listening to my parents. I always listen to my parents instruction and it always finds a way to help me improve upon my self not only in football but in life. My parents are my rock. They are my greatest supporters and always try to make me feel satisfied. No matter what at the end of the day they will always show their unconditional love for me. So being able to listen to my coaches and teachers falls upon these same lines because they are here to help me and make me become a better athlete and a better man.
My goal is to attend a university that will continue to push me in the classroom and on the field as well. I am willing to attend any college that will benefit me and ultimately find a school that is the one with the highest level of competition. I will continue to strive to become an outstanding figure to look up to and humble myself to make my peers and family proud.
