Being injured right before the first game my senior year helped me to realize the importance of perseverance, to stay focused, positive and work until my goals are achieved. I feel this experience helped me to grow the most my senior year. I played the first game injured and with the encouragement of Coach Graham, I rehabbed correctly and worked with my position coach designing plays and mentoring my teammates. My coach encouraged me to rehab and get ready for the Blue Grey Bowl Game; however, I did go in for 7 plays the last game of my Varsity season to ensure I was at 100% and had a huge impact (I do have highlights on Hudl). Our season ended in October without us making it to the playoffs, however, due to hard work over the summer, being invited to Blue Grey All American Combine in July and then in August, I was invited to the Blue Grey All American Bowl at the AT&T Stadium on 1/29/2019. I performed very well jamming receivers and knocking them off their routes, I covered my man/zone, backed up my teammates to ensure I was there just in case a man slipped a tackle, as they would not run or throw to my side, and I seized every opportunity available. I am extremely focused, driven and am ready to play at the next level. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but also have the character, work-ethic and leadership skills and will be a strong asset to your program.
