A great man once said, "It is not whether you get knocked down, its whether you get up" (Vince Lombardi). This phrase of advice can go a long way in football and far in life too. I have participated in football since around third grade. From the non-stop conditioning; to the great camaraderie that I built with all of my teammate's football has shaped me into the person I am today. It has taught me in order to accomplish a goal, and you have to put your mind to it and give a hundred percent. The sport has also taught me to put my effort not only on the field but also in the classroom, at home, and into myself becoming a respectable young adult.
I am grateful to have been able to participate this past year and play varsity football with the Greenway Demons and win the Region Championship. I have progressed my skills over the year-round football grind and have build relationships with my teammates that I will continue to play with for the next two years. I am looking forward to becoming a college student-athlete and to all the future life lessons that are along the way. However, until then, I will continue to push myself the become a player and a leader on the field. Also, maintaining my good grades is on my priority list, and I can't wait to see what a future in football journey has in store for me.
