My football career started when I was five years old on my first flag football team. I started playing tackle football in 7th grade, since then, I have always wanted to play at the college level. Over the years, football has taught me how to overcome adversity and how to step up and become a leader/role model for my team. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players. I am a multi-sport athlete and also play Varsity Basketball, but football is my true passion.
During my high school football career, I earned Defensive Player of the Year both my freshman and sophomore year and Special Teams Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-Region my junior year. I’m working hard to achieve another Defensive Player of the Year and breaking the school’s all-time sack record during my senior year.
My achievements not only include performing at a high level on the field, but also in the classroom. I am a scholar-athlete and maintain a 3.7 (4.4 weighted) GPA. I have been taking honors courses since my freshman year and plan to take AP classes my senior year to help prepare me for my college career.
I want to attend a college that matches my academic and athletic abilities. I have a strong work ethic and I believe I can continue to excel in the classroom and on the field. I hope to become a great role model, make my parents proud and accomplish my dream of earning a degree while playing football at the next level.
