I started playing football in second grade, and since then, I have always loved the game. I feel like that love began with one of my first coaches. I started out playing middle linebacker. He taught me how to anticipate my opponent’s every move and how to read the field. I had no desire to play offense for the first couple of years because I loved defense so much. Although I’ve always played both sides of the ball, it wasn’t until I was given the opportunity to play running back, that I truly found the position where I was most passionate. I moved to the Bauxite School District in the 6th grade, so I had to work hard and earn my position and the respect from my new coaches and teammates. Football has taught me how dedication, hard work, and passion can make you successful on the field and in the classroom.
I have been very blessed to have parents that have always loved and supported me. They have taught me that I have to always work hard for what I want and not expect to be given anything. As I have gotten older, I have learned the importance of having God as my number one in my life. I work hard for others to see that through my actions at school and with family and friends. I want to be a good leader on and off the field! I feel like I have the work ethic and dedication to be a strong collegiate athlete. I am excited at the thought of being apart of a strong program where every player and coach has the same desire.
