2021 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Layne Johnston and I'm 18 years old. I am a senior playing out of Apple Valley, California. I love football and all that comes with it. I enjoy the "family like" atmosphere my team of brothers provide. We have had an excellent run the last few seasons, and I'm hoping that continues throughout my senior year.
Athletic wise, I feel I am a leader which will benefit me both on and off the field. I am a good listener and can take criticism when given. I am always willing to improve. I communicate well with my peers and am a team player. I'm always on time and attend every practice. I give 110% each and every day. I am also a Varsity wrestler for my school, making it to State my Freshman year. I have thrown discuss and shot put for track and field as well.
Academic wise I can hold my own. I was a State Finalist for Skills USA. I have taken a few AP classes, and I have been a part of my school's CTE program for the past three years. I work part time, and enjoy hanging out with my family, fishing and mountain biking.
