Hi my name is Jake Rayner. I am a 6 foot, 160 pound quarterback. I am ready to learn new things and to take control over a team. I also play baseball. I am a second baseman and a pitcher. I have been playing these two sports ever since I could pick up a ball. I have played quarterback my whole life and made every all star team for which I was eligible. We went to state a few times. I want to join this school because I want to become a registered nurse. I was born in Palm Springs on March 30, 2001. My dad and his family owned a farm in Ehrenberg Arizona and my mom was in Blythe California working at the correction facility. I went to school at Ehrenberg elementary school from first grade to eighth grade I maintained a 4.0 when I was there. During those years I participated in Blythe flag football. Everyone new that I was a quarterback. We would have all stars and we would win it every time we went. It was just we knew everything and what our assignments were. I have been coached by a lot of great people and took what they taught me and tried to take everything I know to put it in one. On my eighth grade year my dad opened up a Blythe football league. He put all of his money into his kids (me, and my brother Joel who is a lineman) we played four teams in our community. My dad paid for all the football helmets, pads, pants, and everything you needed he had. I learned a lot that year for it being the first time ever putting on pads. The high school coach at the time was already looking at me. My freshman year I was the Jv quarterback. We had a solid offense. But our defense was not solid at all. I worked my butt off. I weighed 125 pounds my freshman year. I had a 3.2 my entire freshman year. During my sophomore year I weighed 145 and our jv team went 8-1 we lost to the best team in our league in overtime. We had a solid team on jv. For homecoming I suited up for varsity. Our starter got injured in the first half. I threw my first touchdown as a varsity player that game. To my y receiver off of a streak. My junior year I weighed in at 155 I through my best game the last game of the season for 349 yards. My senior year was ruff. We got a new coach and my dad moved 1600 miles away from me to go to his new ranch in midnight Mississippi. I stay here with my mother. My senior year we ran the ball more but every time I threw the ball I made sure to throw the laces off it and have fun. I went to a lot of 7 on 7 tournaments and got better each year. I enjoyed going to those. I got to learn from everyone else and we played way bigger schools than us and we where neck and neck with those people. My school is a division five school we don’t have a lot of players but we make the best of it. I put in all my effort from practice to game day. My parents are my number one supporters. From each year in this school I have had a 3.0 or above that. I listen to all my teachers and respect them. I want to go to college and become an Rn. I want to be the first person in my family to go to college and play sports, and to prove that I can show people being from a small school you can be someone no matter where you come from.
