In my first year of high school football, I was named the freshmen defensive MVP after making 6 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and 45 tackles. I played linebacker and offensive guard and all special teams, which kept me on the field for 100 percent of the game. My freshman year I was pulled up to Varsity and played in the final regular season game as well as a playoff game. My following year, I started at Defensive end on a majority senior defense. I believe that during this time, I had to push my self the hardest to compete with the seniors. I feel I experienced the most growth than I ever had before. Throughout the season, I started at defensive tackle and played wherever else I was needed on the field. My junior year I found my self playing much more competitive and interested in playing football at the higher level due to my new coach Sam Kirkland who played in the NFL for multiple years and had wanted to take our team to the next level, and due to our numerous hard matchups against St. Augustine, Eastlake, and Helix.
Playing sports has been an integral part of my life since I was four years old. I have participated in wrestling, lacrosse, baseball, and football. Being involved in sports for so long has made me very coach-able, an excellent team player, and leader when it is necessary. I am known for my leadership quality and my excellent work ethic on the field and off the ground.i always give everything my best weather it's learning, playing, or training. When the days I do not have football practice, I will most likely be found in the weight room or on the field.
I have always held good grades as I view it as just important to me as playing football and other sports, and so far this semester of my junior year, I have held a GPA of 4.3. When I do have free time, I volunteer to help local sports organizations to teach and coach younger players.
My goal after high school is too play football at the college level that will offer me the highest education and most top competition possible. In the future, I would like to help other kids who love football just as I do. Lastly, I would love to study to become a doctor and help to treat aspiring athletes.
