What separates me from nearly every other player? There are 45 total students attending my entire 4-year high school. last year there were 76 students, the year before, 73 students, and my Freshmen year I attended a separate school so small a football team hasn't existed in 7 years. I am a Senior, attending Coleville High school in the frontier county of Mono. This year, due to a lack of players, our 2023 schedule had first been cut short, however soon, cut all together. From ages 4 to about 10, I loved baseball, but I had yet to play football outside recess, but in 5th grade I was able to play 8-man flag football against the two other teams in our district, and played until 8th grade. My Freshmen year, covid hit, and my Sophomore year, after transferring to Coleville due to a forced move, I broke my wrist 1 month into the season, plying as the starting is the RG for the Coleville Wolves 8-man team, putting me out for both football and basketball. I made a recovery to play baseball, but still saw minimal playing time, if any. Junior year, I came back as TE2, as well as 2nd-string DE/DT, and 2nd-string LB, and although tying a 3-way tie, we were kicked out of the playoffs. My Senior year I was our QB1 for what could have been an amazing season.and an amazing opportunity for not only me, but potentially all of Coleville High School for years to come. I wish to study Sports Medicine and graduate with my Bachelors Degree, being the first in my family to do so. As my love for sports has grown, I wish to forever stay close to them, particularly football, in some way, such as Sports Medicine, which is what i will study in college.
