CJ Hutton '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’9", 170lb, junior three sport athlete in Folsom California.  I am a two way starter for the 2017 and 2018 DI State Champion Folsom Bulldogs.  I play slot receiver on offense, defensive back on defense and I am both a punt and kick returner.  I pride myself on my tenacity and athletic ability.  I am smart both on the field and off, I carry a core GPA of 3.2.  On the field I will run around or through the defender.  I have field vision and can anticipate my competitors’ next move which leads me to be a step ahead.  I will run in traffic but find myself most successful in the open field.  I have great acceleration and top speed (4.59 40 yard dash) to go along with great hands.  I am relentless on defense and consider myself a ball hawk.  I will pound anyone that comes across my zone and I do not miss open field tackles.  I am a student of the game.  I spend countless hours on film study, both mine as well as my competitors.  I make it a point to have a personal game plan for both sides of the ball, giving me a weekly edge.  I am a born leader, I do not pound my chest or praise myself with my success, I simply hand the ball to the referee and celebrate with my team.  I always love a challenge and have proven time and time again that with the game on the line, I want the ball in my hands.  Something my dad told me as an 8 year old, when we were in a tough game that will always stick with me: “The stars shine brightest when it’s dark out”.
