I am a 6' 2", 290 lbs DT/OG with a 4.9s 40, three (3) year varsity starter and Co-Captain for the Fowler H.S. Redcats. This year, on my third year on the varsity team, I started in all our games both sides of the ball, totalling 116 tackles and 7 sacks for a total of 44 lossed sack yards. Honors for defense and offense includes: Starter in 2012 California 5-Star Game "Cal State Game", CIF "Defensive Player of the Year", Regional All-Star First Team OL by Fresno Bee, California All-State D3 First Team by Maxpreps, California All-State Small School First Team and CA All-State 2nd Team by ESPN-HS.
Our team won the 2011 CIF Sectional Championship, "Valley Championship", for the second straight year. Champions back-to-back. This has never been done before. I am honored to have been part of both teams.
Leading up to this season I spent time developing my skills and making contact with interested schools at various 1-day football camps: Fresno State, Oregon State, BYU, UNR, San Jose State, Stanford, Yale, Boston College and New Mexico among others. As a junior I participated in 3-day camps such as Linemen Inc with D1-D3 coaches, also participated in an invitational Top 100 camp at Oklahoma University with lots of 1-on-1s. Participated in the 2011 Cal State Game Underclassmen Showcase. (4) days full contact, with a possibility to make the 5-Star Cal State Game as a Senior 2012.
Working out is my hobby... I added almost 40 lbs between my Sophomore and Junior season, reduced my body fat from 25 to 19%. Continuously developing and refining my skills, growing stronger and faster. I have always set high goals for myself and constantly looking to improve on and off the field, excelling academically. I scored a 1510 on my SAT, and will try to improve scores a couple more times during my senior year. Interested in pursuing Pre-Med and or Athletic Training. I am a hard worker, never give up, and thrive in a team-environment.
Other activities include playing the tuba in the highly decorated Fowler Redcat marching band. In other sports, I lettered in Track & Field my freshman year qualifying for Championships. I was the only Sophomore to compete in the CA State Championships in the Discus. During my freshman year, I lived away from home and skied for Squaw Valley Race Team, training Alpine skiing daily during the winter. Qualified and competed in Junior Olympics in Alpine Skiing my freshman year. I am used to living away from home and therefore open for opportunities to play football at the highest possible level in college anywhere in the country.
