Playing football is all I have wanted to do since 1st grade. My parents made me focus on school and earn the privilege to play pop warner football. I’ve played football since 3rd grade and I’ve have never missed a season. My goal is to play football through college and get a degree in Automotive Technology, but I also enjoy History and English. Football has taught me about being responsible for myself and to a group of teammates. It isn’t about being in the spotlight, it is about being the best I can be because my teammates are relying on me. I have a laser beam focus on any task assigned to me. I will not walk away until the task is complete to my satisfaction.
Football has taught me that struggling to reach a goal is part of the process of winning. Struggling keeps me focused and humble, and I believe these two character traits will open up many opportunities for me.
