Since early childhood, I have participated in football as a spectator and as a player. I grew up in a family who loves college football. Football has always been a big part of my life. In addition to playing football, I swam competitively and played lacrosse. My level of interest and dedication to the sport increased exponentially when I entered high school. I loved the camaraderie of being on a team and the competitive nature that exists within high school football. Moving forward, I would like to continue in my football endeavors at the collegiate level.
As a player and a person, I always strive to do the best I can in any aspect of my life. I have a positive attitude and am very easy to coach. Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are words that my coaches would use to describe me. Being a lineman, it is paramount to have good relationships and communicate well with your fellow lineman and teammates. My teammates would describe me as being a team player, supportive, passionate, and earnest in all of my efforts on the football field. I am extremely devoted and enthusiastic about the sport. Additionally, I spend many hours outside of practice training to become stronger, faster, and acquire more knowledge of the sport.
My work ethic is also reflective in my academic endeavors and participation in extracurricular activities. I am a committed student who has worked hard to improve and maintain my grades throughout high school. As a leader off the field, I have recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I have been actively involved in Boy Scouts since first grade. Since freshman year, I have volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and am involved in the Big Brother program which mentors younger students at Loyola High School.
It is my desire to attend a college with exceptional academics and a football team that incorporates a sense of brotherhood. As a collegiate athlete, I will remain dedicated to my academic pursuits/interests as well as my devotion to the game of football. I am open to schools that promote academic and athletic excellence. I welcome the opportunity to speak with coaches and hope to continue my career as a football player.
