I appreciate the sacrifices my parents and family make, and the dedication of my coaches, in supporting my aspiration to play college football. There is no single event that serves as the catalyst for this goal, I have always excelled at school and, ever since my feet hit the turf, I’ve loved playing football. My goal of entering college as a student-athlete inspired me to take a more challenging, STEM intensive, academic pathway - the STEM Marin program. Lessons learned on the football field provided a strong foundation for the collaborative STEM learning environment. Football taught me how to communicate with teammates in a constructive and motivating manner, to learn from mistakes while working toward my goals, to process and analyze instruction, and to build a community. Everyday I work toward my goal of playing college football; on the field, in the gym, in the classroom, and at home I am working to be a better football player, a better student, and a better person. I am a hard worker, a positive teammate, and committed to making a difference.
