My name is Michael Povey, and I have been playing football for about 5 years now. I attend Casa Roble High School in Orangevale, CA where we run a spread offense. I've started at outside receiver for 8th grade year, freshman, sophomore and junior year. This year we installed a type of pistol offense to complement our spread style. Coaches have me alternating at outside receiver and slot receiver in order to utilize my speed for fly sweeps and screens. Other than receiver, I've been the starting kicker throughout my football career. I am currently training with former University of Hawaii kicker Scott Enos to help maximize my kicking capabilities. After only a few lessons in this off season, I've tweaked just a few things that has greatly improved my accuracy, power and form. I am also a track athlete. I have run at the varsity level and lettered since freshman year, and strongly competed every year in sections. I believe track is another component making me stronger and faster each year. I may not be the tallest of players, but I firmly believe that if someone can play the game, then they will play the game. I work against all odds and I tackle every obstacle I come across with my dream of playing the game leading me. I can play. I am absolutely in love with the amazing game of football. I love everything about it, learning, teaching, and most of all playing the game. I work hard everyday to realize my dream of playing at the next level. My work ethic and drive are top notch. I take pride in representing my school on and off the field, and I want to represent your school next.
