The two character traits that define me most are leadership and adaptability. My teammates describe me as someone who is an intense competitor while on the field, but very supportive of my teammates and community oriented off of the field. One example of this is the instance in which there was a division in the locker room between several upper and lower classmen. I was one of the first people to rush over to break up the conflict and later helped them resolve the conflict. In our spare time, some of my teammates and I have volunteered with the LA Dream Center to help the homeless.
When it comes to my on field play, I know what it takes to win both physically and mentally. I helped lead my team towards an undefeated season my sophomore year which gave me a taste of what it meant to be a winner, something I’m eager to achieve every season. One of my best qualities is my adaptability and willingness to be a team player. I initially started in high school as an offensive player, but was asked to transition to become a defensive player even though I enjoyed offense more. I did so because that is what the coach asked of me and was best for the team. I made the best of it and ended up starting on defense and was an All Special Teams Captain because I made sure we executed our assignments.
