2022 SpotlightI am a 6’3, 240 lb., OLB, athlete from Rancho Cucamonga, California. I am a versatile player who has played on both sides of the ball. Linebacker has been my primary position. My versatile combination of strength, powerful legs, size, agility, and ability to get to the QB, made me the right person for the job. So, I learned the new position (DE) and did it well. We had a great season, 9-3, and I was a big part of that success. We played so well that we became the Baseline League Champions. I love football, it's my passion because it's the ultimate team sport, and I've been playing it since I was 7 years old! I love the challenge of reading the opposing team, tackling, stopping the runs, stopping the passes, getting to the quarterback, and being a leader.
It’s important to me to find an exceptional university that wants me as much as I want to be there. I want to continue to make a difference, grow, thrive, and learn. I can be a competitive, disciplined, hard-working football player, but I think it’s just as important to be a great teammate, which I strive to be. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could immediately impact the team.
Equally important is an institution with matched academics. Both my mother and grandmother are nurses, and many of their close friends are also nurses. This means I have been around both female and male nurses my whole life, and it has inspired me to also pursue nursing to not only give back, but to also provide me with a career that I can be proud of and make a great living doing.
As Coach Dauser said, “Jayden great job this year stepping up and playing a new position. You balled out and were a great leader for us on D. Your future is bright”. I believe this to be true, and I am ready for the next level.
Thank you for your consideration.
