Nicolas Coleman '24 Recruiting Profile

As a multisport athlete I have learned a lot about myself. Each sport has taught me something different that has helped me on and off the field. I have been playing football since I was 10 years old. I always knew I wanted to play for as long as possible because in football I am part of a brotherhood that is unmatched. That brotherhood has taught me to rely on my teammates and has especially taught me to be relied upon. It has shown me what it truly means to show up for my teammates every down of every game. It has taught me the true definition of teamwork. Nothing works if all of us are not doing our part. The single goal that requires all of us to give all that we got. I found that I thrive in that type of competitive environment.

Football has taught me to work with and respect all kinds of people, some who are different than me and many who are just a driven for success as I am. I know this benefits me inside and outside of sports. I found success in the classroom and with my peers at school because of those lessons I learned on the field.

I was named Captain of my football team my Senior season by our and I took that leadership position seriously. I hope I left an impression on the underclassmen, that I showed them what it takes to be a successful leader. I think that I did because I was given the MVP award, academic award and 1st All League honor for the 2023 football season.

My academics have always been important to me. I work hard in the classroom and have been fortunate to see the fruits of my labor with good grades. I was chosen to student leadership by my peers and teachers and I know that participating in extra curricular activities has benefitted me in becoming the best version of myself. 

I am looking forward to continuing my athletic and academic career at the next level and I feel confident I am up for the challenge.
