Dear Coaches,
I am Edwin Martinez, 6’1, 225 lbs, from Cajon High School in San Bernardino, CA.
As my last season as a senior, Is a great responsibility to be the Captain and the QB for my team; with preseason games we are currently 5-0, looking and feeling positive to get the 2011 CIF title. I keep working hard, and close with my coaches and teammates to represent my school, and the San Bernardino area.
I am honored to have received multiple leadership and special recognitions of the 3rd Annual National Hispanic Heritage Month from: Congressman Joe Baca, California Senators: Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, California Legislature Assembly member Norma J. Torres, California State Senator Gloria Negrete M, among others. All these important recognitions, gives me the motivation, strength, determination to keep working hard tours my education goals.
I feel extremely happy, and express my gratitude to all my teachers, school personnel, coaches, friends and most important my counselor. She gave me the tools, and the trust to become a better student. Participating and keep volunteering with younger kids in football, and JAAL coaches.
I have attended football camps at: NIKE combine, USC, UCLA, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo CA and McKenna College in Claremont CA. All these events have been very helpful to know about programs, majors and coaches; a more personal communication, what the University/College level coaches’ football doctrine is all about, and especially to meet new friends from all over California and out of State.
My dream is to play at College/University level; I am working hard to get higher than 3.5 GPA score and better results on the SAT and ACT tests; I am taking again SAT and ACT tests to get better and higher scores.
I am determined to succeed and get my degree in one of these majors: Sports Management Admin, PE Teaching Coaching or Business Administration. As well as to be part of history playing at College Level, enjoying and be thankful every day of the opportunity given to me by an University, and make my mother and brother, friends, teachers, coaches and the community proud of me. I want to be a positive example for the younger generations.
I am confident I will go to College/University, get a professional degree and play football. I can also provide letter of recommendation from my teachers, Principal and Vice-principal if needed.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, I hope I can meet and talk to you soon.
Respectfully,
Edwin Martinez #16 QB and MLB.
