I love the game of football. I started playing football when I was seven. Over the last nine years, football has taught me more than offensive and defensive schemes. Playing football has helped me grow and become a better person. Football is the ultimate team sport. In order to achieve success, everyone must do their job. Football helped me view who I am and how to build off of and help others. Playing this sport has helped me be a better leader and work better with others. I have had to work harder than most people by training all year round because I do not consider myself to be “athletically gifted”. Having the will to do something and reach my goal of playing football has helped me get past that obstacle. I am the type of person who doesn’t care what job or position a coach gives me or what assignment a teacher gives because I am always willing to put in the work and be the best at it.
In addition to football, I am also a varsity lacrosse player. I have played this sport from a young age. Playing lacrosse has enhanced my hand-eye coordination and footwork which are so important in football. To better prepare for college, I intend to take several Honors and AP classes over the next two years to learn what a college class is like. When I go to college I want to major in Business and Marketing because working along side other companies and being part of my own is very interesting.
