Dakota Hill '20 Recruiting Profile

I want to play in college. It took me until my sophomore year in high school to realize that. I got a fresh start in Santa Barbara, where I learned some tough lessons about life and loss. Since playing in SB, my accolades are that I am the only  3 year two way varsity starter on the first team in 30 years to play for the post season CIF championship game. I was the SB Athletic Round Table Athlete of the Week. I was 3 year 1st team all league offense and defense. I was two time 1st team all South Coast receiver and corner. I was two time  first team all county, and 1st team all CIF SS and CIF SS all state nominee. And I was two time team offensive MVP.   The journey  has helped me focus on being a team member, but for better or worse has not dampened my strong competitive spirit. I am currently enrolled in Santa Barbara City College, while still taking a full course load at Santa Barbara High School, and am looking to transfer out after my first Season  at SBCC. Grades has been a part of the journey for me that I came around to later than I should have. But I understand what the work is and what it’s going to take.
