Ty Sheffler '23 Recruiting Profile

I first started playing football at the age of 7. I was always a bigger kid growing up, so I had to play with kids who were often 2 years older than I was. However, this never deterred me from competing at a high level and bringing value to teams. I've played on the line since I started playing football, and it gave me deep respect for the position. I understand the value a good offensive lineman can bring to a team, and I take a lot of pride in protecting my quarterback and opening run lanes for the running backs. 

Of course, playing football for so long made it a permanent fixture in my life and is a huge part of who I am. My goal is to compete at a high level and continue playing the sport I love. I enjoy reading and learning new things, and I believe that has translated to the classroom, where I am a good student as well.
