No Excuses. I cannot make myself taller, but I can continue to build my skill and focus. I cannot make my arms longer but I can work on muscle development. I cannot make my physical stature different then it is, but I can sharpen my mind and my responsiveness. Regardless of measurements, I am gritty and determined. I honor my coaches, my family and my team. Templeton is team built on perseverance and I'm proud to be a part of it. "The more we sweat in peace, the less we bleed in war" appears on the back of our team shirts this year, but this phrase also personifies my approach to football. Without a doubt, you've received thousands of letter's explaining how COVID-19 related shutdowns, isolation, illnesses, and cancellations have impacted young people just like me and while I'm no exception to these ranks, I have adapted, overcome and continue to push forward despite these challenges. I am committed to football, but also remain focused on my higher education and both will receive my full attention. Coach, I am a reflective leader...I work hard, but quietly...I'm passionate, but stoic...I am ready to face challenges today and tomorrow. I remain humble in the aftermath of a win and focused on improvement in the face of a loss. I am an academically and physically strong athlete and I look forward to making a positive impact to your program.
