I am Ethan Stendell, I am a rising senior at Truckee High School, in Truckee California.
I love football and there is nothing more I want than to play college football. Going into my senior season, I’ve had the honor of playing on two Nevada 3A State championship football teams (2022 and 2023). I have played two seasons of basketball and got pulled up to varsity my sophomore season. This spring I will be on the track team and I intend to play basketball and be on the track team my senior year. Outside of school and athletics, I work part time as a lifeguard at the local pool.
As a sophomore, I played linebacker and offensive tackle and I was honored to be named JV Defensive MVP. I was pulled up to varsity for playoffs where my team won the Nevada 3A State championship. During the off season, I worked extremely hard to get bigger and stronger. Going into my junior season I found myself to be one of the biggest and strongest players on the team. With the goal of a second state title, my team needed more power on the O line and I was the best player to accomplish this goal. Along with starting at offensive tackle and occasionally other offensive line positions, I split time at the middle linebacker position. Going into my senior season as the most explosive and strongest player on the team my coaches felt like I would give the team the best opportunity to win three straight Nevada 3A State Championships playing strong defensive end. I am very excited for my senior season and this new challenge.
Off the field I work hard in the classroom while taking AP Classes. I have earned a 3.91 GPA (non-weighted). I have achieved honor roll all 6 semesters I have been at high school and have been named to the all-state academic team for football. I am a dedicated student-athlete with a goal of playing college football and I work very hard to get bigger, stronger, faster and to better myself at the game I love.
