Competing in the Central California varsity football playoff series as a sophomore was an exciting and rewarding opportunity, and a highlight of my high school career. More importantly, however, it showed me the amazing things that can happen when commitment, dedication, and a strong work ethic are focused on a common goal, whether it be in the classroom, the community, or on the football field.
Football is my passion, although I've participated in organized baseball, soccer, and basketball since the age of five. I thrive on the challenges that football presents, and to be successful, the mental and physical preparation that the sport demands. Football has impacted me on a personal level, where I’ve developed a sense of brotherhood and built strong bonds with my teammates.
Football has taught me to be goal-oriented and how to become the best that I can be, both as an athlete and as an individual. It's shown me the importance of leading by example and that I should treat mistakes as learning opportunities, which over time has helped me improve both academically and athletically.
My goal is to graduate from a university with a curriculum in agriculture where my credentials are those coaches are seeking, and where my academic and athletic goals can be achieved. I have worked on a farm my whole life and I know what can be achieved with hard work and dedication. I’m prepared for the challenges that lie ahead and look forward to the opportunities that await at the college level.
