My name is Kameron Dover and I am a student athlete in my senior year at El Camino Charter Real High School, in Woodland Hills, CA. I am 6'4 , 205 lbs and I play wide receiver and defensive end. My collegiate goals are to play football at the next level under the leadership of a great athletic program. I want to continue to learn and grow as a collegiate athlete and a student. Of course I would love to play at the professional level, but I also want to major in Sports Medicine and Psychology.
I believe that I stand out from other student athletes because unlike many of my peers, I only started playing football in 2019. Growing up in St. Thomas, V.I., I played baseball, which is the more popular team sport in the islands. I relocated to California for high school for a better academic opportunity and naturally, joined the baseball team. I quickly realized that I played baseball because it was simply "what we did" back home. I fell in love with football while on the baseball team, joined the football team by sophomore year and never looked back.
I feel that my work ethic is strong since I had to play "catch up" to learn the fundamentals, rules and process of the game within a brief time period. While learning the game, I was also able to maintain my current GPA of 3.4 which was challenging since the academic system is different in the states in comparison to the islands. I always give 100% on and off the field and will continue to do such if given the opportunity.
