Coach: I am currently at Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colorado and played on the varsity for this 5A school at both Defensive Tackle and Offensive Line. I played freshman football for Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colorado and was one of a few freshman who got brought up to varsity for a 5A semi-final playoff run in 2019. I anticipate playing both DT and OL for Legacy in the fall. I come from a football family with my Dad (Kyle Smith) a multi-year starter on the OL for the University of Colorado in the early to mid -90's followed by an injury-abbreviated NFL free-agent stint with the Houston/Tennessee Oilers in 1997. My older brother (Kolter Smith) was a PWO on the football team and finance graduate of the University of Colorado who is currently an offensive intern working with the OL and helping with offensive analytics and recruiting for CU. I have lived and played football in several Western, Southern and Midwestern states including Wyoming, Colorado, Alaska, Oklahoma and Kansas and would love to continue my football and academic pursuits at a school in the West, Midwest or South. I will be attending the lineman camp at the University of Montana in June and would welcome the opportunity to compete at other campuses as they become available. I have made great gains in the weight room this winter and spring and look forward to a great Junior season. I have a deep love of football and the comradery, discipline, teamwork and structure involved in this great sport. I would give my best every day on the field, in the classroom and in the community to the school to which I commit. Thank you for your consideration.
Regards, Kade Smith
