Owen Mellish '24 Recruiting Profile

The goal since the day I held a football or watched it on tv was to play at the next level. Since I was a kid, football has been the sport I’ve loved to play most. Whenever I could get my hands on a football I would, even if it was to myself. I’d want to be playing football or even just holding one, and I still am like that to this day.  Any chance I get I want to be playing or holding a football. That attitude is reflected at practice and in games just the love I have for the sport and the work I put in to make it to the next level.

In school I’ve always worked hard to do well. I do my homework, study for tests and don‘t really goof around and that is evident in my 4.0 GPA. When I was younger I played just about every sport there was to play - anything with a ball or competition I was there to play. Now I have narrowed it down to just track and football which are the two I am committed to focusing on with hopes of playing either/both at the very highest level I can.
