I am committed to the tasks I perform. Whether it is academically, on the field, or in my community, I apply myself in every class, every play, and every opportunity to help others. My speed, strength, and knowledge of the game allow me to adapt and excel at several positions. Applying myself has also allowed me to not only be a good athlete, but has also allowed me to achieve High Honors in all of my terms in High School and stay at the top of my class in ranking. This desire to do better has also shown me that I must apply my desire and winning attitude with those less fortunate than myself in order to make me a whole person.
On the field during my Junior year I started in several offensive positions including Fullback, Pulling Guard, and Tight End. My defensive positions included Middle Linebacker, End, and on the line as needed. I also play on both kickoff and kick return teams. Football isn’t my only sport as I am also a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team with a winning record over the last three seasons, and Track and Field. My desire to better myself and my level of play pushes me to try harder as taking even one play off is not an option. My goal is to play at 210Lbs, this year and be over 220Lbs. by the time I graduate.
I consider my educational experience to be an important part in my life and apply myself in all of my classes. I know that applying oneself with every task performed is a large part of being successful in life. My family structure is supportive of my endeavors to succeed and push me to be the best I can at all that I do.
I also believe in giving back to my community. I am currently involved with the United Way as a member of the Youth Leadership Program and the High School Volunteer Council. Whether I am serving meals at the local soup kitchen, attending community meetings, or directing less fortunate to available services to make their lives a bit better, I believe that everyone should give back by volunteering to assist others in need.
My philosophy is simple, work hard, and achieve. I therefore apply myself each and every day to my class work, my athletic play, and giving back. Bettering myself each day by reaching higher than the bar is set, only makes me a better person, and allows me to give back to those not so fortunate.
