My goals are to continue being a scholar athlete and a role model to other players. I am extremely dedicated to myself, my family, teammates, and coaches. I set the highest goals for myself on and off the football field by challenging myself and confronting adversity. I am willing to put forth the effort in the classroom and on the field to succeed at the highest levels in whatever I do. Since I began playing football at age six, it has been my dream to play football in college, while receiving a great education, and I will strive to make this happen.
I am a leader, and have always been chosen as a captain for my team. I have always been very versatile on the football field, training in multiple positions, including Quarterback, Runningback, Fullback, Wide Receiver, Linebacker and Defensive End, and I believe that my ability to adapt to any situation will lead me to success. I love football for the camaraderie we have as a team. I am just as accountable to my teammates as they are to me.
I already have several accomplishments for which I am extremely proud.
For the past four years I have received scholastic honors, as well as Citizenship awards.
I have been working toward obtaining my private pilot’s license.
In November 2012, I led my team, the West Haven Seahawks, to win the State and New England Championship games. My team advanced to the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Orlando, Florida, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. We advanced to the final round and placed second in the nation.
In November 2013, my team won the Pop Warner CT State Championship.
In July 2014, I attended the Aqib Talib/Aaron Dobson Football Academy at Merrimack College in MA and received “Most Outstanding Quarterback” award, which was presented to me by New England Patriots Wide Receiver Aaron Dobson.
On November 19, 2014, I received the "Most Valuable Player" award for my Amity High School freshman football team.
On December 3, 2014, I received my "Varsity Letter" in my freshman year, and started the last 4 games on special teams and started the last game at Defensive End.
On December 6, 2015, I was named Captain of the Amity High School varsity football team for the 2016 season, which was my junior season.
On December 8, 2016, I won the Levi Jackson Award for Linebacker and was re-elected as Captain for my senior season in 2017.
On November 17, 2017, I was re-elected to the Levi Jackson All-Star Football Team in my senior season.
On November 23, 2017, I was named the All-Southern Connecticut Conference Football Team.
On December 4, 2017, I was named the runner-up recipient of the Floyd Little Scholarship by the New Haven Gridiron Club.
I am honored to be named Captain of my team. My goals as Captain are to work as hard as I can and encourage my teammates to do the same. For every goal that we achieve and every sacrifice we make, for every diving catch, every broken tackle, every time we sacrifice our bodies to make the key block or the diving tackle, brings us closer to a successful season, and we do it for each other.
Football strengthens me not only physically and athletically, but mentally as well, by helping me stay focused. I know that my motivation, hard work, and determination in academics and football will lead me to success.
