As a member of my football team at St. John’s and being in the Cadet Corps (JROTC) at my school, I’ve gained great self-discpline and have excelled in my leadership abilities. I’ve been very blessed to be on a championship football team and get a great high school education. I’ve watched my parents sacrifice so much to help me achieve. I’m determined play college football, and complete my biggest goal in life gaining a college degree.
I play football, I play Xbox, I fish and go to the beach with my friends but I also feed the street homeless in Washington, DC on weekend nights. I volunteer in a way that lets others know God is present. I go on The Salvation Army Grate Patrol with my Church youth group. My team prepares meals, travels on the canteen van and serves meals to the street homeless in Washington, DC. I like to talk with the homeless I meet on Grate Patrol nights. I have gained a true understanding of what it means to be humble from it. I’ve greeted and assisted over 200 military veterans arriving in DC for tours of their monuments. The time spent with them has shaped my respect for others, and my understanding of what fully committed to a cause means.
I was born into football. Literally. My mother worked in the NFL from office operations in community relations for our local team when I was born. I was passed around and held by players at the practice facility as a baby. In elementary school, spending time at work with my mom included looking at the Super Bowl trophies, or fun game day events. Football has been a major part of my entire life. I have learned from being in a professional environment as a kid how to conduct myself on and off the field. I will be a major contributor with maturity, hard work ethic, team and community commitment to any school that chooses me.
