PERSONAL STATEMENT by Carter S. Buchheit
As a two sport athlete, I have learned a lot about myself through football and basketball. Each sport taught me lessons that have made me a better son, teammate, friend, but most importantly, a man of God. I am very coachable and use those tips to help my success.
In the classroom, I work hard to maintain a good GPA. Also, I make sure my teammates are doing the same. For college, I plan on using my God-given abilities to achieve an MBA. For athletic achievements, I was First Team All-State. I also received the Gridiron Man award for my team, which goes to the top lineman. I also received defensive lineman of the year award in middle school. I have lettered all my years of high school football.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself on the field, as well as in the classroom. I am open to all opportunities, and ultimately, find the right college for me. I hope to become a role model for family, friends back home, and college teammates.
I plan to give it my all for each school that gives me an opportunity. I have quick feet, and very explosive off the line. I excel when using my athleticism to down block, pull, or go to the second level. Along with that, I am a team leader and try to set a good example for my teammates on and off the field. I am supportive, and try to encourage my teammates whenever I can.
