Riley Gann '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello I am Riley Gann. I have deoloped a love for this sport at a very young age, my dad has coached eveerty since I was born, and everyday I would be out there with him just waiting patiantily for my opportunity to sign uo once I was old enough.In these many years of playing I have set many goals when it comes to the collegiate level. In sports I want to continue to learn not just from coaches and staff but be able to learn from the teammates around me. I don't just wanna be at college to just get by in school I want to take my 4 years to understand and learn anything and everything I can about my major and come out with a degree that prepares me for the world. I want to create friendships/relationships that will continue on in the future after college. My character is unique as I am always trying to help teammates out whether it be helping them study or learn a move on the field and even after practice I make sure everyone has a ride home. In athletics I can read a defence very well. I know where they are going to be which allows me to find a pocket to get open in, I have also learned to use my leverage in the blocking game to really seal blocks or even on defence get to the QB. I have always been a very curious kid. I am always looking for new knowledge. I am the kind of kid that if I have a hard schedule class or a lot of work in a class I put my head down and work and use the work to better understand what the class is really about. This is just a short personal statement about me. Hopefully I will get to talk to you face to face for you to really understand who I am as a person and a teammate.
