My name is Darrin Davis (DJ) and I am from Jacksonville, Florida. Currently, I am a senior at Sandalwood High School (8A) and my primary position is quarterback. Football began for me at the age of eight years old and I instantly fell in love with the game. Overall, I am experienced in multiple positions, but my primary role has been quarterback for the last 4 seasons. In addition, I am a dual threat quarterback who makes good decisions with a strong arm, very shifty runner, explosive and do not go down on the first hit/contact. There is a desire inside of me that burns for football and I use this to excel on the field. Besides being very athletic, I am a team player and leader who is always attempting to make others better. My main attribute is that I work hard ALL OF THE TIMES. During daily workouts and practices, I’m one of the last players to leave our facility. My philosophy is that quarterbacks have to lead by example, so taking extra steps to improve on technique is vital for everyone’s development. Also, this attitude transcends off of the field as well. As I continue my education, my ultimate goal is to become a graphic designer. The aspirations of playing football and becoming a graphic designer motivates me to do my best in high school and to become a better person.
