My name is Zachary Pleuss and my primary position is quarterback. I pride myself on being a student athlete as I am both a student of the game as well as in the classroom and completed my Sophomore year with a 4.3 GPA (weighted). As I begin my Junior year I have 19.5 credits completed and am well on my way to being NCAA eligible. I am focused on my education and earning my degree while playing the game I truly love. I would like to pursue a degree in criminology. Right now my focus is on beginning the next chapter of my education and playing career.
Some of the highpoints of my youth career was leading two different teams to our conference championship and Super Bowl as well as being named team captain for the past 3 seasons by my teammates. Winning a National Championship with my 7v7 team was awesome! My last year of youth football we went undefeated and by far was my most prolific passing season to date with 27 touchdown passes in 14 games and being named MFFCC Man Of The Year for 2018. I have been invited and participated in FBU's Top Gun on multiple occasions as well as Under Armour, FSG Future Stars Game (team Florida,) Football Hotbed's Future 4 Quarterback Competition, and competed on several other All Star teams.
My freshman year saw me as the starting quarterback on our JV team. As a team, the season fell short of our expectations and we finished with a record of 3-4. My individual stats, leadership, and performance led to a promotion to varsity and being named the starting varsity QB for the 2020/2021 season as a sophomore. My Sophomore Season as the starting quarterback saw me lead my time to our first playoff birth in 7 years! My season stats were 2500 yards passing, 30 td's, and only 6 int's resulting in me being named to the 8A All State Team as well as BCP All Area and Ledger All County Teams as a sophomore. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and working with a great group of teammates and coaches. My coaches have shown confidence in me and my ability to lead the team. I have and will continue to earn the respect of my teammates and coaches as I grow and develop further.
