Since the age of 5, I have been playing football beginning in Texas with the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA). My mom said that I would do a jig or boogy on the field to shake the players as I ran as hard as I could for the goal line; this is how I acquired the name"J-Boog". I am not your average teenager or athlete. I love Anime, studying the Japanese culture, their language (of which I can speak), Aeronautics and Engineering, reading self improvement literature, writing, and sometimes I do help out in the kitchen.
When it comes to sports, I'd say that I have tried many, however, I found that football was my passion and where I belonged. I aspired to run like my favorite RB Marshawn Lynch and Texas A&M memorabilia decorated the walls in my bedroom. I knew that someday, that would be me. Now, my time has come! On the field I possess great vision, precision and acquity. I have been quick on my feet, astute, academically gifted (promoted in the 5th grade), talented, driven, ambitious, and willing to take risks. My character is impeccable because of the morals, values and beliefs that have been instilled in me. Being the son of two Army veterans , I have learned how to adapt and transition into any situation that I may find myself in which has caused me to be malleable and resilient. My ability to multi-task and remain focused on the mission is aimlessly displayed because while working part time, I've still been able to maintain a 3.4-3.5 GPA (A/B Honor Roll).
My short term goals are: works as a mentor at a youth afterschool program; learn to speak Japanese more fluently; obtain my Drone Part 107 certification within the next 90 days, which will allow me to operate flying drones for governmental agencies. My long term goals are to obtain my pilots flying license in 2023 (after graduation); get accepted and play football for D1, D2 or NAIA colleges, visit Japan before I am 18yrs old and pilot private jets or even fighter jets.
My youngest brothers name is Champion and I am convinced that we all have a Champion inside of us! I've been told by many that "I am a leader" and I do believe that wholeheartedly. I have two younger brothers who do look up to me and they've propelled me to maintain my integrity and to remain true to who I am. Whether on the track or on the field, I always strive to represent my best self and as a leader FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION and there isn't room for excuses. In order for me to get to where I have never been, I must and will do something that I have never done. And that is to constantly rise above any challenge or obstacle that my lie in wait.
