I, Anthony Taylor, am a 5’10 190lb athlete who can effectively play as quarterback, wide receiver, running back, and any defensive back position. I attend Jones Senior High School in Trenton, North Carolina. My GPA is 3.9, and I rank eleventh in my graduation class of 2018. I am a member of the National Honors Society. I am presently taking several college courses at Lenoir Community College and will receive an Associate’s Certificate/ Degree upon my graduation. I run a 4.43 40-yd dash, can bench press 330lbs. and squat 500 lbs. I am a very competitive, hard working athlete who is willing to do whatever it takes to continue to excel in this amazing sport that I love. I am driven by self-motivation. I am a vocal leader and key factor to my team’s success. Before I became a starter on our football team, Jones Senior High School football program won a total of 1 game out of 2 seasons. However when I became the starting quarterback my sophomore year I lead my team to 2 state playoff appearances and 2 Costal Plain Conference championship appearances. I lead the team in passing yard, rushing yards, passing touchdowns, rushing touchdowns, defensive touchdowns, and defensive interceptions. I am a team paler and will do everything in my power to help my team win. What set me apart from other athletes are the goals that I have and my determination to achieve those goals. Most athletes want to be a good football player, but I don’t want to be just a good football player I strive to be the very best at the position that I have. I know that in order to achieve this personal goal I must have to work three times as hard to be the best. I am the first one in the weight room and on the field and the last to leave. I’m also a 2016 state qualifying track athlete. I refuse to settle for being just the average athlete, I will continue to strive and dominate my opponents to reach me goals. I take advantage of all opportunities that are provided to me and will make the most of them. I give a lot of thank and credit to my family and coaching staff for supporting me on my journey to success.
