As a prospective collegiate athlete, I continue to reflect on the words of Arnold Palmer to always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you. During the current circumstance of the nation, it is my belief that I can defy the odds by continuing to train and develop as I pursue my goals of becoming an athlete at the collegiate level. With experience from basketball tournaments, football camps, and skills showcase, I have proven my ability to be the athlete that is coachable, passionate, and willing to work with a strong commitment to my organization. All coaches would describe me as a person to have strong character and integrity with a sponge for knowledge of how to be better at the game. My peers often view me as the “quiet storm” meaning that I am humble, but produces much excitement and anticipation when interacting on the court or field. Being identified as a gifted learner has also proven my academic achievements will assist me in obtaining a, degree in Health/Physical Education with a minor in Sports Management. In conclusion, all these qualities will make me a great contributor to any team that is willing to pursue me.
