I am a 6'4", 280 pound offensive right tackle raised with discipline and respect. I am proud to play for Coach Rogers at the Jones County High School in Gray Georgia. I currently have a 3.0 GPA but have been working diligently to improve this before the end of the first nine weeks so I can fulfill my desire to play football at the next level. Football motivates me to be better everyday. It gives me drive and direction. My fellow athletes are my brothers and I work hard to never let them down. To me it's not a question on how much I can improve, its a statement to myself everyday that I must improve. I come from a very close military family and am familiar with what others above self means. I will carry these values with me in the class room and on the field. I am a natural people motivator and you will see that on the field.
I not only try to improve myself, but those around me. I consider myself a humble and mature person who can make level-headed decisions in stressful and challenging situations. I take pride in any organization I belong to, because my name will be associated with it. I understand how deep a name truly goes when it comes to character and reputation. Should I become part of your school, I would make every effort to build positive reputation within the local community and foster good relations. I would also continue the effort towards sustaining the legacy of the school, much like I do with my own name.
Everything I have now I have earned through hard work and sweat. I can look myself in the mirror and recognize that I need improvements in all aspects of life. I use this look at myself to ensure that I continue to put forth everything I can. I believe that all the talent in the world goes nowhere without consistent, productive effort. Once I commit to something, I give it everything I have. To me, not committing to something shows character flaw, but it magnifies ten-fold when you only half heartedly commit. I've never been handed anything in my life, and its made me a better student athlete and a better man because of it.
I know that sometimes I have the "two steps forward, one step back" days, and I'm self-conscious and aware enough to know that every person in the world has those days. A mentor of mine once told me "it's okay to have a dad say once in a while, just don't have two in a row". After my experiences through life on and off the football field, I have been able to narrow down my life goal. I simply want to strive to be better today than I was yesterday, and better tomorrow that I am today.
