My most recent major accomplishment. Please review link: http://www.hiramfootball.info/ironhornets.aspx ; I am a class of 2012 Athlete from Hiram, GA with a 3.45 core GPA. My 40-time is 4.5; squat 620 lbs and bench press 350 lbs. I have a 38" vertical and my pro agility was clocked at a 4.13. I was recently recognized for the upcoming 2010 football season as the only top Iron Hornet for my team. I am the only junior in my schools history to obtain this recognition. This is an honor that is usually only earned by seniors based on their skill level. This award is based on a point scale ranging from 115 to 225+ points which I achieved 233 points. This is a physical Training Test given by the Varsity Coaching staff to measure strength, speed, agility, explosive endurance and jumping ability. I was chosen to play in NUC's Birmingham showcase, invited to attend the NUC Ultimate 100 combine 2010. I was invited to the IMG football academy. I attended 6-weeks "Five Star High-school Football Speed and agility Academy sponsored by TYGTAL Sports Performance Service. I was recognized at end of this program as Top Performer of Camp. In my freshmen year, I played the position of running back where I averaged 3 touchdowns per game. I was captain of the freshmen team, while also getting play time at varsity. Due to the make-up of the varsity team during my sophomore year, my coach wanted to utilize my athletic ability, strength, and quickness more defensively by allowing me to play in the positions of Inside and Outside Linebacker, Defensive End and Nose Guard. During a single game during the 2009 season, I made 5 solo tackles and 3 solo quarterback sacks. For my junior year- 2010 upcoming season, I have resumed playing running back as a primary position, but I will continue to play defense positions to show that I am a TRUE athlete. I am looking for a college that offers my major, which is Broadcast Journalism and/or Radio and Television. I would be even more interested in a college that offers a Sports Broadcasting major. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one in which I can work get playing time my freshman year while in college. As for the ideal college environment, I would like to be at a larger size school that is diverse culturally, where my academic and educational goals are obtainable allowing me ease in achieving them, while balancing my schedule as an Athlete. Because I am from (Hiram, Georgia) a suburb/rural area of a large metropolitan city (Atlanta, Georgia), I can easily adapt to a large urban, rural or suburban campus environment.
