I have many goals and aspirations about graduating college in the future. I was taught very early how important it is to obtain a college degree or higher. My sister graduated from Rutgers University almost 5 years ago and she is so supportive of me reaching my personal goals as well. What I am also learning is that it is good to go to college to better your chances of pursing a career that will allow me to do something that I love and am passionate about.
I am a good candidate for the team for many reasons. I have participated in team sports since I was in elementary school and being a good teammate is something I take pride in. Just as important to me is how I treat the coaches I play for with a great deal of respect. I know that coaches respect me for being this way and how I can tell is because they trusted and reliable on me when they don't even have too. Even in challenging situations with coaches I've learned the right way and time to talk things over to resolve any tough situation. I am a committed person who understands that every positive things I consistently contribute matter a lot to my coaches and team.
I am different in many ways from other recruits. What comes to mind is how I handle different challenges on and off the field and court. An example of this would be my dedication in spending a great amount of time studying my school work. Over the past few years, I have really learned how important it is to work hard to be the best student athlete possible. I have learned to not be afraid to ask for help when I don't understand something that is explained to me in sports, in the classroom and in everyday life. I have been recognized by teachers for being a student that gives a 100%.
