Deshawn Cumby '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is DeShawn Cumby and I'm a 6'2" 230lbs Quarterback/Athlete at Macon County High School in Montezuma, GA. I was recently honored by being been name to play in the Hawaii Tiki Bowl(Top 64) in Honolulu, HI and the Offense Defense All American Bowl(Top88) in Daytona, FL. I was hand-picked to play in the 2017 Middle Georgia Allstar Game in Fort Valley, GA as a Junior and won MVP for the game and followed that up by winning the Offense Defense Camp MVP in Myrtle Beach, SC in early 2018 amongst some of the best student athletes in the Nation.  I am currently a key player on my High School basketball team and I have been a 3 Year Letterman in both football and basketball. I think that my work ethic, versatility, knowledge of the game and talent would be a great match for your program.  . My biggest asset is that I'm a team player who focuses both on the field and in the classroom. I'm currently in the top 20% of my class with a 3.4 GPA and a 26 ACT. I'd like to major in Engineering, and I've been researching your school's well-known programs that will fare well with my future plans.

   On the field my Senior year, I threw for 1423 yards, 19TD passes with a 68% completion rate and rushed for 400 yards, 5TDs in 8 games.
