Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Bailey Holbrook. I am from Cornelia, GA and attend Habersham Central High School.  I believe that I have what it takes to be an asset to any team at the collegiate level. I have a great passion for the game of football. I respect and care for my team members and coaches. My work ethic is one of my strongest attributes alongside dedication, heart and commitment. Being the best at whatever I undertake has always been of great importance to me.

I work hard in the weight room and on the football field and strive to unlock my potential by executing and going hard on every drill, rep, and play.  Academics is of great importance to me and I am committed to getting a quality education to help me through life.  As such I currently have a GPA of 3.6.  I have also been involved in Boy Scouts since the third grade and I have obtained the current rank of Star.
My sophomore season I started on the varsity team which competes in the 6-AAAAAA region. I have played against 5 star recruits Lorenzo Carter (Norcross) and Dante Sawyer (North Gwinnett) and have enjoyed being challenged. This gave me the desire to be the best I can to compete against these type of athletes at the collegiate level.

By the time I graduate High School it is expected that I will be around 6’3” and 280 lbs.  I’m looking for a college with a great football program that includes an excellent strength and conditioning program as well as a strong bond between players.  I would prefer a college with outstanding academics. I am willing to be red-shirted and think I will benefit strongly from it for many reasons.

I value my education as one of the most important things I will take away from college, however to play football at the collegiate level would be one of the best experiences of my life.  Thank you for taking your time to look and recruit me.
