Since I first laced my cleats and strapped on a helmet, I have been considered one of the best players on the field. What some do not know is that I am also one of the hardest working players on the field, if not, the most. As a long standing, personally set, life goal, I strive to positively impact the individuals around me in a manner that influences them to follow and do their best, to become the best. I hope to influence my teammates, coaches, educators and colleagues, through my career on the field, in the classroom and in my work within the community. In making this life-long commitment, I completely understand that I have been and will be highlighted and treated, not as if I am above my teammates, but as a leader who is held to a high expectation.
My work ethic not only applies on the field but also, as I stated before, in the classroom and the community. In the classroom, I consistently seek to further educate myself, not be a hindrance to someone else's learning, set an example to fellow student-athletes, and to carry myself as a true Athleader. I do this while balancing my football and family responsibilities. In the community, I strive to encourage the youth to be the absolute best they can be and to inspire them to achieve more than anyone ever knew they could. I also try to set an excellent example for my younger brother and baby sister who are very impressionable at their respective ages.
My dream is to play college football, but my aspiration is to be brought together with a group of individuals, players and coaches alike, who dare to live life to the fullest; who push themselves in every aspect of life, not just football; who attempt to be extraordinary people not only for themselves but for the people around them; who resemble what I wish to become more and more of every second. I will always live by the saying that, "I am a male by birth, but I choose to become a man," and I am more interested in being a great man, than a great football player, though I strive to be both. Whichever institution can help me to reach that goal is the institution I wish to become a part of.
