Personal Statement

“Hardest working offensive lineman…, amazing attitude, intelligent…, brings it every day…, big part of our future succes…, love that kid like my own son….”

The above statements are a few that my coaches have made about me over recent years that represent what I feel am supposed to bring to a team as a center.

It is my life experience, maturity and character that sets me apart from my peers.  Maximum effort, drive, positive attitude, humility, mental toughness, consistency, dedication & a love for my teammates are what I offer as a player.

I started playing center in 4th grade and I quickly understood the often understated importance of this role.   This has been my niche ever since.   I joined and played for a nationally-ranked youth football team in Wichita, KS from 3rd - 8th grade, started high school at Maize High School in Kansas for my 9th grade year and then moved to Houston County High School in Georgia for my 10th grade year.   I‘ve had to earn the trust of my coaches & fellow lineman to earn/maintain my place as the starting center for these teams and I did.

Each time, I learned new coaching styles, plays, snapping and blocking techniques, etc…  Every team has had its own strengths and struggles.  I focused on being the best I could be for my team at all times.   I have maintained an honor roll GPA.  And, I’ve also faced the #1 defenders for multiple teams and have never failed to perform.

I look forward to the opportunity and challenge of doing the same at the collegiate level while pursuing a degree in biology.

Thank you for your time!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
