Kaleb Nelson '13 Recruiting Profile

I will serve a two year mission trip for my church and will get back may 2015. I love football, it has always been a passion for me. I want to serve this mission and sacrifice two years because this is important for me as well. I plan on doing my best to stay in good shape while I am gone. I was never one that had a lot of natural talent, rather I have been blessed with drive and determination as my better qualities. I want to succeed and will do whatever it takes to do so in everything that I am asked to do or I seek out to do. I have had leadership experience on the football field, wrestling mat, at school and at church. And will gain a lot on  my mission trip. All I ask is a chance to play, because I truly believe I once I have a chance I can out work anyone. I grew up on a dairy farm with 5 brothers so all we knew was hard work. I went to a smaller school, which limited exposure but I still gave it my all and played well earning recognition across the state. On the football field I feel I can run a defense, keep them motivated , in the right spot, and working as a group. I feel one of my greatest strengths at the linebacker position is to get the right reads. Having played right guard my junior and senior year I know exactly where guards are going and why, and it has really helped me to read an offense. We ran different defenses anywhere from a 3-3-5 to a 6-2. 4-3. 4-4, and numerous goal line sets. I did well in school, never any problem with misbehavior and received good grades. I will do all I can to represent my school, town, family, and myself in a professional manor.
