Charlie Bennett '19 Recruiting Profile

Sports has been a great part of my life since my childhood. I often dream about playing college athletics in front of thousands of fans. The energy at those events is infectious. However, being a great person and making the most of every day is the most important goal for me. Being a young man with strong character and humility is much more important than all the fanfare. In June my father suddenly passed away at the age of 40. I learned from this that every day is a blessing and you cannot take nothing for granted! I try every day to make my teammates better people by leading by example and with positive encouragement. Any college program that blesses me with an opportunity, will get a student-athlete who strives to be the best and takes constructive criticism well. The team always comes first. Success of the group is more important than individual glory. As a lineman we rarely get credit. We aren't looking for credit. We just want to win!
